    International guidelines recommend pneumococcal pneumonia and influenza vaccination for all patients with solid organ malignancies prior to initiating chemotherapy. Baseline vaccination rates (March 2019) for pneumococcal pneumonia and influenza at our tertiary cancer centre were 8% and 40%, respectively. The aim of this study was to increase the number of gynecologic chemotherapy patients receiving pneumococcal and influenza vaccinations to 80% by March 2020.

    We performed an interrupted time series study using structured quality improvement methodology. Three interventions were introduced to address vaccination barriers an in-house vaccination program, a staff education campaign, and a patient care bundle (pre-printed prescription, information brochure, vaccine record booklet). Process and outcome data were collected by patient survey and pharmacy audit and analyzed on statistical process control charts.

    We identified 195 eligible patients. Pneumococcal and influenza vaccination rates rose significantl the global COVID-19 pandemic, initiatives to expand the program to all chemotherapy patients at our centre are underway.

    To perform an evaluation of the risk to healthcare personnel of exposure to cisplatin during a Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) procedure in an operating room environment.

    Breathing zone air samples were taken from the operating room (OR) before, during and after the procedure of HIPEC filter membrane adsorption and the liquid impact method was applied to collect air samples. The samples of surface wipe from the floor of the OR were taken after the procedure. Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS) was used to detect the content of cisplatin in all the samples.

    Thirty-six air samples and three surface wipes were collected from three different locations of healthcare personnel breathing zones. All the breathing zone air samples were negative for cisplatin; however, cisplatin contamination was detected on three surface wipes from the floor, but in a lowconcentration(≤ 2.25ng).

    The results suggest that the risk of inhalation of cisplatin was extremely low for the healthcare personnel during the procedure of HIPEC, but the contamination of the OR floor should be taken into consideration.

    To analyse the technical challenges, clinical success, and associated complications of endovascular and percutaneous embolisation of pancreatitis-related pseudoaneurysms.

    A retrospective study of patients referred for embolisation of pancreatitis-related pseudoaneurysms between January 2014 and March 2019 was conducted. Computed tomography angiography (CTA) was performed to assess the morphology of the aneurysms prior to any intervention. Percutaneous or endovascular embolisation was performed. Details of CTA and methods of embolisation were recorded. Technical success, clinical success, and complications were reported.

    A total of 80 patients (mean age, 40.69±13.41 years, 73 male) underwent embolisation during the study period. Pseudoaneurysms were related to chronic pancreatitis (CP) in 44 (55%) patients and acute pancreatitis (AP) in 36 (45%) patients. Pseudoaneurysms were detected in 65 (81.2%) patients on CTA. The most common site of pseudoaneurysms was gastroduodenal artery (GDA) followed by splenic artery. Seven patients were treated with percutaneous thrombin injection and five were treated with percutaneous glue injection under ultrasound/fluoroscopy guidance. The remaining patients (n=68) underwent catheter angiography with endovascular embolisation. Technical success was achieved in 4/7 (57%) percutaneous thrombin cases and in all the cases (5/5, 100%) with percutaneous glue or endovascular (68/68,100%) embolisation.

    Necrotizing enterocolitis predominantly affects preterm (PT) infants. The paucity of data regarding the clinical course in term infants makes it difficult to predict outcomes and counsel families. To identify predisposing factors and gain a better understanding of the clinical course of NEC in term infants, we reviewed our experience with term infants and compared it to outcomes in PT infants.

    We performed a 10 year retrospective review of all infants admitted to our NICU with Bell stage 2 NEC or greater. Infants < 37 weeks gestation were considered PT. Term and PT infant comorbidities, outcomes and intraoperative findings were compared.

    Fifteen (12%) of 125 infants were term. Compared to PT infants, term infants were more likely to have congenital heart disease (33% term vs. 10% PT, p=0.02) and develop NEC sooner (4 days in term vs. 17 days in PT, p<0.001) but were less likely to require operative intervention (20% term vs. 38% PT; p=0.17). There was no significant difference in Bell stage, survival and development of intestinal failure. NEC totalis occurred exclusively in PT infants.

    Abdominal lymphatic malformations (LM) are a rare subset of vascular anomaly caused by abnormal development of the lymphatic system. They are classified as macrocystic, microcystic or combination macrocystic and microcystic. Surgical resection, percutaneous sclerotherapy, and medical therapy are all employed to treat these complex and often symptomatic lesions. TMP195 No standardized treatment algorithm exists currently. The purpose of this study was to establish a multidisciplinary treatment approach to abdominal LMs.

    A retrospective observational study was conducted from 2013 to 2019 on patients with abdominal LMs at a single tertiary children’s hospital vascular anomalies center. Demographics, imaging, and treatment modality were recorded. Clinical and/or radiographic response to the primary treatment modality as well as complications was the outcomes measured.

    Nineteen patients (12 macrocystic, 5 microcystic and 2 combined) were identified, with a median age at diagnosis of 2.2 years (range 0.1-20.8 years).
