    Clinician levers including advocacy were useful to overcome system barriers. During the project, more patients, and clinicians at RRR participated in trials, more primary sites collaborated with RRR sites and more RRR sites gained trial capabilities. Conclusion Pilot project achieved its objectives including improved access to patients locally, creation of linkages between metro and RRR sites and enhanced capabilities of and access to RRR sites. Implementation science frameworks were useful for identifying the necessary steps and processes at the outset. Ownership by governments and creation of streamlined regulatory systems would enable broader adoption.

    The p64MW HPC and p48MW HPC flow diverters have reduced thrombogenicity due to hydrophilic coating. The purpose of this study was to evaluate its safety and efficacy in Mongolian patients under single antiplatelet therapy (SAPT) with prasugrel.

    We performed a retrospective review of patients enrolled into our prospectively maintained database to identify all patients treated with either the p48MW HPC or p64MW HPC under SAPT. We recorded baseline demographics, aneurysm size and location, procedural complications, angiographic and clinical results.

    24 patients, (female = 21, 87.5%), age 48.2 ± 11.6 years (range 25-63) underwent treatment of 30 aneurysms with either p64MW HPC or p48MW HPC. All aneurysms were saccular with dome width 8.2 ± 6.5 (range 1.6-26.0 mm) and dome height 7.6 ± 6.7 (range 1.6-30.0 mm). None of the aneurysms were previously treated. The average PRU was 54.6 ± 31.2 (range 1-127) on pre-operative VerifyNow testing. Angiographic follow-up was available for 13 patients (17 aneurysms), 183 ± 36 days post-procedure, at which point 64.7% of aneurysms (n = 11/17) were completely occluded and 11.8% (n = 2/17) had only neck remnants resulting in 76.5% of aneurysms being adequately occluded A single intra-operative complication (4.2%) occurred however all patients were mRS ≤1 at last follow-up. There were two post-operative complications neither of which resulted in permanent neurological morbidity. There were no instances of post-operative aneurysmal rupture or delayed parenchymal haemorrhage. The overall mortality was 0%.

    The efficacy and safety of p64MW HPC coated devices under SAPT is similar to uncoated flow diverters that require DAPT.The partial replacement of proteins from animal sources by plant proteins in formulated food products has been proposed as useful to improve sustainability aspects of the products without dramatically changing their techno-functional properties. Although several research groups have published on the gelling properties of mixed systems containing whey and soy protein isolates (WPI and SPI), their foaming properties are much less described. In this context, the main objective of this paper was to evaluate the structural and foaming properties of samples containing different mass ratios of WPISPI (1000, 7525, 5050, 2575 and 0100) before and after heat treatment. The samples were evaluated according to their solubility, foaming capacity (FC), foam microstructure and foam stability (FS). Before heat treatment, mixing SPI to WPI did not affect the solubility of whey proteins, but, after heat treatment, insoluble co-aggregates were formed. Similar FC was measured for all samples despite their WPISPI ratio and the applied heat treatment. The partial replacement of WPI by SPI changed the microstructure of the foams and had an antagonistic effect on the FS of the samples, due to the negative effect of insoluble soy protein aggregates and/or insoluble co-aggregates on the reinforcement of the air-water interfacial film.

    Metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is nowadays treated with a multimodal therapeutic approach including immunotherapy, targeted therapy and radiotherapy. Radiation therapy, in addition to immune checkpoint inhibitors, gives rise to a particular radiobiological effect known as “bystander effect” consisting of the radiation-induced damage in nearby unirradiated cells.

    We report a case of a 79-year-old female patient with stage IV NSCLC treated with concomitant immuno-radiotherapy who showed a bystander effect on bone.

    Primary tumour biopsy revealed an adenocarcinoma with a PDL1 expression >50%, while staging exams showed a right pulmonary lesion with a partial involvement of the contiguous rib and a single brain metastasis. The patient refused chemotherapy, so that Pembrolizumab 2 mg/Kg was administered every 3 weeks. After two administrations, the single brain metastasis was treated using stereotactic radiosurgery while the site of primitive lung cancer received an 8 Gy-single fraction 3 D-conformal radiotherapy. Three months after irradiation a chest CT showed a radiological remission of about 10% of the GTV and a partial eburnation of the vertebra located nearby the target volume. The CT images of a PET/CT at six months showed a complete vertebral eburnation. At the last follow-up, the patient was free of disease (brain MRI, spinal MRI and PET/CT).

    The present case alerts for unusual side effects provoked by bystander phenomenon in patients treated with a combination of immunotherapy and irradiation. Immune activation exacerbates the bystander effect causing normal tissues toxicities beyond what immunotherapies are causing by themselves.

    Capecitabine is an antimetabolite antineoplastic agent widely used in the treatment gastrointestinal cancers. The common frequently reported cutaneous adverse drug reaction associated with capecitabin are a palmar-plantar erythrodysesthesia syndrome, rash and hyperpigmentation. This case reports a capecitabine-induced palmar hypopigmentation.

    We report the case of a 74-years old patient with jejunum adenocarcinoma treated by capecitabine. The patient developed a pseudo-vitiligo after 2 cycles capecitabine and without history of cutaneous disorders. The skin lesions were characterized with skin hypopigmentation on both hands.

    The hypopigmentation slowly recovered after capecitabine discontinuation.

    This is the first described case of pseudo-vitiligo induced by capecitabine. PRT543 This impressive but non-severe adverse effect should be known by oncologists and oncology pharmacists to reassure the patients in particular about the possible recovery after discontinuation of capecitabine.
