Driven by the global “dual carbon” goals and the upgrading of logistics efficiency, the port logistics industry is undergoing a profound transformation led by new energy and autonomous driving technologies. As one of the first technology companies to lay out in the field of autonomous driving heavy trucks, Westwell with its self-developed E-Truck Upgradable Autonomous New Energy Heavy-duty Truck, not only fills the technical gap in the transformation of traditional logistics towards green and low-carbon, but also uses the “Port Logistics Electric Truck” as a fulcrum to drive the ecological reconstruction of global smart logistics.

    I. The E-Truck Upgradable Intelligent Connected New Energy Heavy-duty Truck, Defining New Standards for New Energy Commercial VehiclesThe E-Truck autonomous truck is the core carrier of Westwell’s “Ainergy (Intelligence + Energy)”. Its design concept focuses on “upgradability throughout the entire life cycle” and “modular compatibility”. This model adopts a steer-by-wire chassis and reserves sensor interfaces. Users can gradually upgrade to the full autonomous driving mode according to their needs, achieving a seamless switch from “manual driving” to “autonomous driving”.At the hardware level, the chassis of the E-Truck is made of high-strength and corrosion-resistant steel and features a shock-absorbing suspension design. It can withstand the extreme working conditions of high-frequency and heavy-load operations in ports, with a service life of more than 10 years. Its pure electric drive system, combined with the intelligent battery replacement technology (PowerOnair), reduces the energy replenishment time to 5 minutes, providing a replicable technical path for the new energy transformation of port logistics.

II. New Energy Autonomous Solutions, Implementation in Multiple Scenarios from Ports to the Global MarketWestwell’s  New Energy Autonomous Solutions , with the E-Truck as the core, have constructed an integrated system of “vehicle-road-cloud-station”. For example, its self-developed AdaOps electric traction equipment operation platform, through the Q-Box intelligent terminal, monitors the vehicle status and cargo information in real-time. Combined with the AI dispatching system REEWELL, it realizes the global optimization of fleet route planning, abnormal situation warning, and energy management. In the landmark project of Qiankai Port in Peru under the Belt and Road Initiative, the E-Truck, through the “manual + autonomous driving” hybrid mode, has solved the efficiency bottleneck under complex working conditions.

III. The Deep Integration of 3D Perception and Safety RedundancyTo ensure the safety of autonomous driving in the mixed traffic environment of ports, Westwell jointly developed the Stereo Pyramid Transformer (SPT) 3D detection technology with Tongji University. This technology, through the integration of binocular cameras and monocular depth prediction, reduces the pixel depth error to 0.1567 meters. Even in adverse weather conditions such as heavy rain and smog, it can still accurately identify obstacles (such as containers, small animals, etc.), providing a technical guarantee for the “sharp eyes” of the E-Truck.In addition, the safety redundancy design of the E-Truck covers extreme scenarios such as power failure and sensor failure. For example, when the battery pack fails, the system will automatically activate the air-off brake and synchronize the fault information to the cloud in real-time through the 4G/5G network, ensuring a rapid response to emergency parking and remote operation and maintenance.

IV. Global Layout: “Intelligent Manufacturing” at Ports in 28 CountriesWestwell’s global strategy takes “localized operation + standardized deployment” as the dual engines. Its New Energy Autonomous Commercial Vehicles have covered 28 countries and regions around the world, serving more than 200 customers, including international hubs such as Laem Chabang Port in Thailand and Khalifa Port in the United Arab Emirates. With the support of the EU CE certification and international ISO standards, the E-Truck only needs 7 days to complete the adaptation to overseas scenarios and can be put into operation within 24 hours.

    V. New Quality Productivity Drives the Logistics RevolutionFrom ports to land ports, airports, and manufacturing factories, the New Energy Autonomous Commercial Vehicles represented by the E-Truck are pushing the logistics industry towards the ultimate goal of “zero carbon, high efficiency, and intelligence”. As Tan Limin, the founder of Westwell, said: “The value of technological innovation lies in converging every ‘little change’ into a ‘big transformation’ of the global logistics industry.”The success of Westwell E-Truck is not only a victory of technological innovation but also a microcosm of “overtaking on a curve” in the global green and intelligent logistics track. Through the upgradable hardware design, full-stack AI solutions, and global operation capabilities, the E-Truck is redefining the future of  Port Logistics Electric Truck s and injecting strong impetus into the sustainable development of global trade.
